An interesting high top sneaker will be released from the Gucci Spring/Summer 2010 Collection in the coming weeks. It comes in white premium leather with black/grey accents and an unusual closing system, that one does not see too often in footwear. We are actually kind of glad to not see the Gucci trademark red/green stripes on there.

Look out for a release in Gucci boutiques soon!

Within a short period of time, German-born photographer Daniel Sannwald has emerged as one of the unique voices in contemporary photography. Working within the realm of fashion photography, without being restricted by its conventions, his images seek to merge fashion and art that result in surreal dreamscapes that are always memorable and thought-provoking. Having compelted his studies at the Royal Academy in Antwerp, Sannwald went onto to contribute for i-D, Vogue Hommes Japan, V, Qvest and of course Dazed (his shoot for Fashion's New Optimism can be seen here). Over a ten year period, Sannwald has accumulated images that he has now reinterpreted into a book published by Heroes with texts written by Cecilia Dean, Ashley Heath and Sannwald himself. It investigates his interest in digital collaging as well as a more traditional retrospective. With influences and loves, cited in this interview with friend and Dazed contributor Kasia Bobula as wide ranging as Nelly and Roald Dahl, you're sure to be in for a trip with this coffee table tome.

Marc Jacobs and his boyfriend Lorenzo Martone weren't only in St. Barts to take topless pictures for their Facebook pages, they were also there to get married! Guest of a Guest reports that after being engaged since March of last year, Marc and Lorenzo became husband and husband in a private ceremony. There's no picture of the actual ceremony, but I'll be disappointed if they didn't wear matching dick huggers. Let's just say they did...

After the ceremony, Marc and Lorenzo celebrated their new marriage at a reception hosted by fancy art person Larry Gagosian. And of course, even Marc's wedding topper had his nipples out.

You better believe that after the premium Andre started flowing, ho after ho took pictures of themselves doing nasty raunchy shit with Marc's topper. They turned that topper into a versatiler. The places that topper has been! But I would've done the same thing, which is exactly why I never get invited to weddings anymore.

And so as 2009 draws to a close, there could be no better time to reflect on Twilight's fashion journey, from its humble beginnings to ridiculously glamorous future.

The saga has had quite a mystic fashion adventure over the past year. Landing most noticeably first in Hot Topic stores, Twi merch bolstered the retailer's sales in the third quarter of '08, one of the worst economic periods in decades, keeping the chain not only from going under but also astoundingly profitable. The rest of the industry drooled over those financial returns, and companies quickly began scheming for their own fashion-derived pot of Twilight gold. Nordstrom was quick to launch its own Twilight line of Team Edward T-shirts, jewelry, and other nonsense. Increasingly ridiculous Twilight product launches followed, including makeup (more than one line), "Edward's smile" necklaces, and vampire-fang veneers, which cost from $250 for a dentist to apply.

The power of Twilight did not escape the notice of the fashion media, which also fell on incredibly hard times in 2009. Desperate to recover and, like too many of us, unable to ignore the psychodom of the Twilight empire any longer, fashion editors let loose their fangs and sank them into the vulnerable horde of teens and their parents, now hungry to know themselves what all this fuss was about. Hedi Slimane shot Robert Pattinson — an ex-model, in fact — for the September issue ofAnOther Man. Next came Harper's Bazaar, the December cover of which starred Kristen Stewart and R-Pattz, further fueling relationship rumors with a dark, romantic spread inside the issue. Before the Lutz news broke, rumors surfaced about shirtless star Taylor Lautner signing on as the new face of Armani.

After all that, where are these stars to go? They've sparkled, vamped, and muscled their way from the dredges of Hot Topic to high fashion. They can have only one final destination: Vogue. E! Online reports that Robert Pattinson was shot for the magazine at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art along with his Remember Me co-star Emilie de Ravin.

Photographer Norman Jean Roy is said to have shot them in several spots throughout the museum, including interior and exterior setups. "It's kind of edgy in a Vogue way," the source says. "Emilie is wearing high fashion but it's like sort of tattered-looking. Rob is mainly in suits."

Sure, Vogue will publish the photos under the pretense of Remember Me coming out. But that's only because they missed the Twilight train in the heat of New Moon. They may have been wishing it to disappear like the rest of us, but with the rest of the industry hooked and profiting, the mighty beast can go ignored no longer. And if that magazine came around to Lady Gaga, they can come around to anything.

Traversing between art and fashion means Albarran's work sit just as well in fashion editorials as they do in installations or potentially films (his dream is to collaborate with Guillermo Del Toro and Ridley Scott).

DD: What materials do you use to make your pieces?
Manuel Albarran: Mainlly all metals combine with leather, fabrics, feathers and wood

TODAY is World AIDS Day and that’s always been a big deal at Kiehl’s.

They’re launching a limited edition Hand Care for the Cure product benefiting amfAR. And they’re also partnering with Derek Lam on a not so little quilting project. Kiehl’s stores from more than 30 countries created pieces on which Derek put the finishing touches.

The quilt will be on display in New York for just one week starting tomorrow at the Kiehl’s store at 13th Street and 3rd Avenue before it goes on tour around the world. With all the advances in treatment (which are of course great), it’s sometimes easy to put the epidemic out of our minds.

We’re so proud to see our industry is still raising money for a cure!

On Monday, Lady Gaga guest stars on Gossip Girl. We know she wears a 30-foot-long dress with nipple pasties outside her top. We also know she performs "Bad Romance," and that show producers let her do pretty much whatever she wanted. But judging by a video preview of her performance, her guest spot doesn't look that crazy! There are no Russian hookers force-feeding her vodka, no awkward cat dancers, no polar-bear clothes, no crystals suspended in mid-air, no skeevy men (unless you count that guy Blair's with). But maybe what the preview doesn't reveal is that she's hiding all those things and more underneath her dress. Still, it's hard to top the "Bad Romance" video by way of the CW, and the lip-synching is kind of distracting.

The ever-gracious Blake is relatively modest about what "the life" is like.

“I didn’t really realize the extent of it,” Ms. Lively said of her hair’s popularity, though she had an inkling: fashion forerunners like Vogue staffers routinely approach her at events and fixate on her hair, she said.

And we thought Vogue staffers only ran around petting the furs on their own backs!

Jennifer Johnson, who styles Blake's hair for Gossip Girl, said all she does is frequently apply a conditioning masque and let Blake's hair "dry in a simple chignon." Except there is no way that is all that goes into it. We've seen the show — there is definitely product in there, and probably some curling iron action, too.

If you want Blake Lively's signature Gossip Girl style, you can buy it. Bumble and bumble. can style you wavy for $35. Or you can go to John Bartlett's salon, where he'll add removable extensions for $1,200 to $1,500 per piece, give you a cut for $500, and provide you with other various conditioning treatments and heat styling for around $1,200 a month. But what no one expressly tells the Times is, if you don't have the genes for naturally wavy hair, getting the look will not be easy. DESTROY BY RANKIN

Part of ‘Destroy 1 - 2’ by Jarvis Cocker

Youth Music and Rankin's Destroy project have taken over Phillips De Pury in London for an exhibition which opened last night and 20 of the 'Destroy' portraits including including Damien Hirst’s ‘Joe Strummer’ will be up for auction on November 14, hosted by Rankin and Simon De Pury with a performance by Jarvis Cocker.

Most of the portraits have been 'destroyed' by the artists themselves.

In addition to the exhibition and auction, a 1,000 limited edition hardback book edited by Dazed & Confused editor Rod Stanley has been produced that is available from Youth Music. It includes an exclusive behind the scenes DVD featuring interviews with Rankin and more than 25 of the featured artists (a taster can be seen below). There are also exclusive essays by Rankin and Fred Deakin (Lemon Jelly / Airside), and interviews including Jarvis Cocker & Peter Saville, Jefferson Hack & Michael Stipe, Beth Ditto & Miranda Sawyer, and Mike Figgis & Marianne Faithfull.

The Berliner behind The Tape and Jahcoozi releases his gothic galactic debut, Death Star Droid

Berlin’s Robot Koch has been a cornerstone of the city’s pulsating electronic scene for almost a decade now, but has always been one of those quiet producers, bubbling under the cut. Whether as part of the post rock outfit The Tape, the club wailing, bass banging Jahcoozi project, or even his collaboration with Celebral Vortex, one of the best new club rappers about, Robot Koch has been conducting a gothic galactic aesthetic of ten ton beats and space age melodies. Now with his widely diverse debut solo album Death Star Droid, out this month on this own label Robot’s Don’t Sleep, folks like Modeselektor and Flying Lotus are the first to lay praise.

...so special about you, then?
Other people tell me that I'm a pretty versatile producer. I can do dubstep and heavy hitting stuff as well as melodic, melancholic and subliminal stuff. From film music to jazz and heavy metal. I guess it’s because I listen to a lot of different music and draw inspirations from all ends of the musical spectrum.

...your worst vice?
The bloody internet. I get a cold turkey when I don’t go online for a couple of days.

...the best piece of advice you've heard?
Don’t worry about it. Just do what you do. And do it good. - Bill Withers.

...better, dusk or dawn?
Dusk, I love being awake when everybody else is still sleeping.

…your favourite hidden spot in Berlin?
An Indian restaurant close to my studio. Completely underrated, although it was the first Indian restaurant ever in Berlin. It’s been there since the 80’s. I’m not going to tell the name of it because I like the fact that it’s not discovered by any tourist guides yet. I go there at least three times a week.

...your favourite piece of clothing?
My Suicidal Tendencies t-shirt.

...the world coming to?
It keeps changing and that is good. Open end. I like.

...the name of your hero?
Graciela Alatorre.

...so special about your hero?
Everything!

...your worst fashion secret?
My X-Men underwear.

...this year going to bring?
I’m excited about the new Jahcoozi album, I’m going to tour a lot and work on new interesting projects. I just got back from Kenya, where i worked with some MCs and singers from Nairobi and Mombasa, mad talent out there. There will be more collabos with African artists next year. There will be some new hot releases on Robots Don’t Sleep in 2010, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

...your favourite website?
I’m quite enjoying Twitter at the moment, although it’s a complete waste of time. Soundcloud.com is a good and useful site.

How would you describe your work?
It’s like painting. If I was a painter I’d do crazy collages using watercolors, spray paint and wood, found stuff and old photos as well as high tech materials. It’s like that, only I use sounds.
